What is a resource consent application?
There are many types of resource consents. Essentially, resource consent is required from your local authority or council if you want to change the way land is used in a way that isn’t allowed in the district or regional plan. Any activity that affects the environment will most likely need resource consent. This includes anything from building a garage to drawing water from a river.
